ALMOST 40 years after the launch of its first estate car - the 95 - Saab is returning to the market. Pictures have been released of an estate version of the ironically titled 9-5 which will go on sale in Britain early next year following its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.

The Saab 95 was launched in 1959 and was dropped from the Saab line-up 20 years ago, but Saab is returning to those far-off days with the new model featuring a third row of rear-facing seats which was pioneered in the 95.The new estate will be powered by 2.0-litre 150bhp or 2.3-litre 170bhp Ecopower light pressure turbocharged engines.
