Auto Windscreens wins £1m police contract

AUTO Windscreens has won an exclusive contract worth more than £1 million over three years to provide glazing support to every police authority in Britain.

The Home Office's Police Information Technology Organisation aided by the National Association of Police Fleet Managers has signed up Auto Windscreens to support the UK-wide fleet of 28,000 vehicles - ranging from motorcycles and panda cars to vans and off-roaders - run by all 52 forces.

The nationwide contract, which replaces those with individual forces, sees a framework agreement with the Home Office which includes a national pricing structure for vehicle glazing repair and replacement carried out at police workshops and through Auto Windscreens 150-strong network of centres.
