ULTRA low sulphur City Diesel has been launched by Bayford Thrust at its outlets across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, the Midlands and the north east. Costing the same as the bulk fuel supplier's ordinary diesel the fuel is being supplied to garages in Leeds - one of six 'Environment Cities' in the UK.

Councillor Eamonn McGee, chairman of Leeds City Council's highways and transportation committee said: 'We're delighted to see a major fuel retailer introduce a city diesel on to garage forecourts in Leeds. Doing so significantly increases the public's ability to make use of the fuel, with obvious knock-on benefits to the environment, particularly in terms of air quality.

'The council has introduced ultra low sulphur City Diesel across its vehicle fleets. Now this type of fuel is more widely available, we can hopefully look forward to other diesel vehicle drivers making use of the 'green' fuel.'
