MAJOR changes to the format of the Fleet Motor Show will be introduced in 1999 to provide visitors and exhibitors with an improved environment in which to conduct business. Following extensive visitor market research and discussions with car manufacturers and service companies, organiser Emap Automotive is finalising plans to launch a pure business show without the test-driving facilities.

The research demonstrated overwhelming support for the changes among fleet managers, finance directors, managing directors, as well as exhibitors. 'This will be a major new show for the industry,' said Emap Automotive Events director Keith Dalton. 'We will be able to build on the huge success of recent Fleet Motor Shows, but tailor the event more closely to the demands of fleet decision-makers, car manufacturers and fleet service providers.'

Further details about the new developments will be announced next week by Emap Automotive Events, and reports about the event will be covered on Fleet NewsNet.
