BMW and BMW Financial Services have launched a new leasing and fleet management company in Germany as the first step towards the establishment of a European-wide operation. Petra Kerp, chief executive officer of BMW Financial Services and Alphabet in the UK, said international fleet customers now expect professional services extending beyond national borders.

'We can now apply our experience in fleet management as the pacemaker throughout the entire European market,' she said. The new Frankfurt-based Alphabet Fuhrparkmanagement aims to mirror the services which its sister company Alphabet delivers to fleets in the UK, capitalising on the growing German demand for professional fleet management.

The company is multi-marque in approach, and will offer a comprehensive, full operating lease service. This includes the procurement, funding, service, maintenance and disposal of vehicles, along with fuel management, the sourcing of daily rental cars, and claims and insurance management.
