FORD Credit has relaunched and rebranded its full service leasing product as Ford Business Partner, targeting smaller companies. FBP is based on the former Ford Contract Motoring product, but also includes RAC Accident Management, BP branded fuel cards, a one-call daily rental service through Hertz, and a 21-day driveaway insurance cover called Fordinsure for fleets with fewer than five vehicles.

Ford Credit has also adopted Dun & Bradstreet's 'Decision Maker' software to speed up credit approval to less than an hour. FCB has more than 35,000 vehicles currently on its books. David Mercer, Ford Credit's director of fleet and leasing, said: 'The emphasis is very much on partnership with the customer. It provides a total transport solution, with a new degree of flexibility in both tailoring a contract to suit an individual business and in being able to rewrite the terms of the contract part-way through - at no cost - if the customer's circumstances change.'
