VOLVO is offering V70 buyers £2,300-worth of extra equipment for an average price rise across the range of £500. The V70 is now available in one specification level - Classic. On-the-road prices for the Classic range are from £21,995 for the 2.4-litre 140bhp to £27,995 for the XC.

Meanwhile, Volvo has introduced a number of other changes to its model line-up. A new Xi model joins the V/S40 range, starting at £14,495 (OTR) for the S40 2.0 Xi and rising to £20,765 for the T4 variant. A new S specification is available in the S80 for £2,000 above the base price for each engine variant. It includes 16in wheels, electronic climate control, cruise control and a sunroof. And the C70 convertible gains a new 2.0 base model, priced at £28,665.
