HUNDREDS of Lloyds TSB bank staff may have lost out on AA windfalls because they were not told their membership had run out. In what is being called a 'breakdown in communication', the AA let the cover for 1,500 staff at Lloyds TSB run out following changes within the bank which saw it switch its corporate breakdown and recovery cover to the RAC.

This meant that staff, who were able to take advantage of discounted membership rates, who did not renew their membership missed out on the £248 windfall bonus when the AA was sold. An AA spokesman said employees were given plenty of notice.
