AA launches fuel tax campaign

THE AA is targeting 15 million drivers, including company car drivers, in a war to combat public ignorance about the UK's highest-ever fuel taxes. AA research shows that just 7% of drivers realise that £8 out of every £10 spent on fuel goes to the Government in tax.

This week the motoring organisation in conjunction with the UK Petrol Industry Association launched a two-week campaign which will see 15 million cards given away with receipts at 10,000 fuel stations across the UK encouraging drivers to contact the AA with their views.
