NISSAN is to unveil a radically facelifted Primera at next month's Fleet Show giving fleet operators the first chance to see the car which will go on sale on September 1. And Fleet NewsNet can reveal that the heavily revised Primera will have the option of a 1.8-litre petrol engine - the lack of which was a major criticism in the Primera model line-up when the current range was launched three years ago.

The launch of the Primera at the show - being held at the NEC, Birmingham, from April 27-29 - will be closely followed by the launch next year of the all-new Almera with the four-model line-up including the Tino multi-purpose vehicle which received its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show . While full details of the revised car remain a closely guarded secret, Fleet NewsNet has learned that the Primera - praised for its reliability but criticised for its lack of image - is heavily 'Europeanised' with 'purposeful and aggressive styling'.
