VOLKSWAGEN's new Beetle goes on sale in UK dealerships at the end of this month in its left-hand-drive form at £15,755 on-the-road.

The car goes on sale on Thursday, April 29, after the German manufacturer's decision to import 900 UK specification left-hand-drive models before the right-hand-drive version goes on sale at the end of the year. All 3,000 of the right-hand-drive models allocated for next year have customer orders against them.

All versions are powered by a 2.0-litre 115bhp petrol engine and come with air-conditioning, airbags and side airbags for driver and front seat passenger, ABS, 16in alloy wheels, electric windows, electrically-heated and adjustable door mirrors, remote tailgate release, and remote locking with alarm and immobiliser.

The car will be joining the rest of the Volkswagen line-up at this year's Fleet Show, from Tuesday April 27 until Thursday April 29 at the NEC in Birmingham.
