Newcourt wins three-year Webb contract

NEWCOURT Automotive Services has won a contract hire deal with Webb Electronics. The deal is initially for four cars and seven vans, which will be run on a three-year term - 105,000 miles for vans and 60,000 for the cars - and Newcourt says there is potential for more vehicles.

Andrew Webb, director of Webb Electronics, said: 'We change our vehicles every three years and this latest change brought Newcourt on board. We also wanted to keep our fleet operation separate. In the past, we had people in our accounts department tied up with fleet matters when they should have been doing other things. We don't have enough vehicles to warrant a full-time fleet manager. When we first outsourced the handling of our vehicles, we immediately noticed the benefits and wanted to keep that system in place.'
