New Primera starts at £14,000

THE new-look Nissan Primera will start at £14,000 on-the-road when it goes on sale on September 1, with prices averaging 1% above the outgoing model. Standard equipment across the range includes power steering, central locking, ABS, brake assist and driver's airbag.

The S trim level adds twin front and side airbags, climate control and keyless entry, while Sport specification features 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, leather steering wheel, sports seats and white dials. The SE model has 15-inch alloy wheels and rear electric windows, while the Sport + and SE + have xenon headlamps, electric sunroof and CD-autochanger.

Sample prices: Primera 1.6 E 5dr £14,000; 1.8 S 4/5dr £15,300; 1.8 Sport 4/5dr £16,200; 1.8 4/5dr SE £16,400; 2.0 TD S 4/5dr £15,900; 2.0 TD SE 4/5dr £17,000; 2.0 S 4/5dr £15,900; 2.0 Sport 4/5dr £16,800; 2.0 SE 4/5dr £17,000; 2.0 Sport + 4/5dr £18,000; 2.0 SE + 4/5dr £19,000. Add £900 for estate prices.
