HONDA has won a fleet deal with the East Anglian Ambulance Service to supply it with 10 vehicles, six of which will be satellite navigation-guided hi-tech ambulances. All 10 of the paramedic-manned vehicles will be four-wheel-drive CR-Vs, with the six rapid response vehicles using global positioning satellites to guide them to incidents in faster time.

The other four vehicles will also be used for ambulance work, but not for rapid response emergencies. All of the CR-Vs will operate for 16 hours a day, seven days a week, across the region. A Honda spokesman said: 'This is an endorsement in the reliability of our product, displaying its versatility, performance and practicality.'
