Volkswagen reveals new Golf estate prices

PRICES for Volkswagen's new Golf estate, which is now on sale, start at £13,380 on-the-road for the E 1.4-litre and rise to £20,365 for the V5 automatic - £110 less model-for-model than originally estimated by the manufacturer. Together with the largest loadspace ever offered in a Golf, all cars in the 16-model line-up feature four airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, a three-year/unlimited mileage warranty and 12-year anti-perforation cover.

The on-road prices are: E 1.4 £13,380; E SDI 1.9 £13,540; S 1.6 five-speed manual £14,620; S 1.6 four-speed auto £15,445; S 2.0 five-speed manual £15,220; S 2.0 four-speed auto £16,045; S TDI 1.9 90bhp £15,800; S TDI 1.9 110bhp £16,510; SE 2.0 five-speed manual £16,495; SE 2.0 four-speed auto £17,320; SE TDI 1.9 90bhp five-speed manual £17,745; SE TDI 1.9 90bhp four-speed auto £17,745; SE TDI 1.9 110bhp five-speed manual £17,630; SE TDI 110bhp four-speed auto £18,455; V5 2.3 five-speed manual £19,540; V5 2.3 four-speed auto £20,365.
