MPV completes Mazda line-up

MAZDA unveiled the final member of its family of multi-purpose the aptly-named range-topping seven-seater MPV at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. It joins the five-seater Premacy, launched earlier this year, and the Demio, and will only be available in one trim level in the UK. Mazda UK has decided to only take the luxury model trim level, which will go on sale on January 1, priced at less than £20,000.

Only one engine option is available, a 121bhp 2.0-litre capable of taking the vehicle from 0-62mph in 13.9secs and achieving a combined fuel consumption figure of 28mpg. This will initially be coupled with only a five-speed manual gearbox, but an automatic option is expected to follow later next year. UK specification is not being announced until the vehicle is unveiled in its British right-hand-drive form at the London Motor Show next month. Detailed pricing will also be announced then.
