MORE than 80 companies, including 20 manufacturers, have booked space at Fleet Show 2000, to be held at the NEC, Birmingham, from April 4-6. The show, sponsored by Fleet News and sister monthly magazine Fleet Car Business, has seen Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler UK become the latest manufacturers to book stands at the biggest fleet event of the year.

Peugeot fleet marketing manager, Arnold Bailey, said: 'The Fleet Show is a key forum for people in fleet to network and talk. It is a vital part of our calendar.' Mercedes-Benz general manager corporate sales, Mike Sands, said: 'The show will put us before fleet decision-makers where we can explain our products in a business-like way.'

The show will be part of a 'rebuilding exercise' for Mitsubishi after its absence in 1999. Business development manager, Nick Spratley, said: 'This year will give us the chance to rebuild some relationships and put our wares on display.' Latest bookings from service companies include Bak2Nu, Cap Motor Research, the Highways Agency, Manheim Auctions, Silvershield Screens, Sortimo International, Tracker Network and Vehicle Air Conditioning.
