SUBARU has launched price reductions of up to 10.3%. From Wednesday, November 1, the firm will introduce new, higher standards of specification and cut prices on the Justy, Forester and Legacy.

A new 1.6-litre Sports Wagon Subaru Impreza will be introduced, which at £13,950 is £800 less than the previous equivalent, the Impreza 2.0GL five-door. New standard equipment includes ABS, a CD-player and a Thatcham Category 1 alarm. The 2.0 GX saloon costs £15,750 (£16,650 auto) with the WRX turbo costing £21,495. Sportwagon versions cost £450 extra, except the WRX which costs £500. The WRX also gets £2,000 of extra equipment compared to the old Turbo 2000, such as air conditioning and radio/cassette CD player.

Price reductions only affect certain models, with the Justy 1.3-litre three and five door dropping £525 and £520 respectively to £8,995 and £9,395. The Forester range, which had price cuts of up to £1,000 in April, gets a second cut, with £455 off the standard 2.0-litre, £1,000 off the All Weather, while the rest of the range drops £1,255. Legacy buyers are offered £500 off the GL saloon. The Outback range falls by about £1,500.
