Sixt buys United Kenning

GERMAN car hire giant Sixt Rent A Car has acquired the UK's largest daily rental firm United Kenning Rental Group for an undisclosed sum. UKRG includes both the United Rental Group and Kenning Car, Van & Truck Rental - one of the UK's leading commercial vehicle rental operators.

UKRG has a fleet of 37,000 vehicles, including 18,000 cars and minibuses, and operates from more than 300 corporate and franchise locations in the UK, while Sixt, one of Germany's leading car hire and leasing firms, has 20 rental stations in the UK. The two firms have been strongly linked in recent weeks.
