CLIMATE Care is launching a fuel card with PHH Vehicle Management in a bid to offset some of the damage done to the environment by CO2 emissions from fleet vehicles. A charge of 1.4p per litre on fuel will be added to the card and invested in projects which reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Mike Mason, Climate Care director, said: 'We are trying to undo the damage done to the environment by burning fuel. It will add around £25 a year to fuel costs but companies will be doing something positive for the environment, leaving a better planet for their children.'

Projects involving Climate Care include solar energy, wind power and tree planting. Mason is also keen to work with LPG providers in a bid to offer the most environmentally-friendly fuel option.
