DEBATE on company car tax, pricing, block exemption, consolidation, the environment, new legislation, the internet, Europe and the future of fleet pulled in packed houses at Fleet Show 2000 Forums, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers in association with Manheim Europe. Over the show's three days, more than 850 fleet decision-makers heard experts discuss the industry's burning issues and joined in lively question and answer sessions sparked by a total of 15 presentations.

Richard Watson, senior tax VAT partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, who chaired three forums, said: 'The sessions were all very well attended - some of them to the point of standing room only. There was a lot interest in tax, but there were also many thought-provoking ideas concerning the future of the fleet industry. The forums are an essential part of the show as the attendance showed.'

PricewaterhouseCoopers provided speakers for several of the Forums, joining principals such as Sara Woollard from Inland Revenue, Chris Wright of the Transport Management Centre, Middlesex University, Peter Cooke, of Nottingham Trent University, and Peter Garland from the Health and Safety Executive's policy section.
