Rover denies Alchemy link to shut-down

ROVER has denied that temporary shut-downs at its Longbridge and Cowley factories is related to the takeover bid from Alchemy Partners. Production at Longbridge, which Alchemy wants to take over, stopped on Friday for two weeks and at Cowley for four weeks.

A Rover spokesman said: 'We always have an Easter break. It will allow us to clear unsold stock.'
