Hartwell MD made redundant

HARTWELL Motor Contracts has made managing director Denis Keenan redundant as part of a review of management structure. His duties will be taken on by director and general manager Ian Hill.

Keenan, who was with Hartwell for 11 months, having previously helped set up Vardy Contract Motoring, left the company in an 'amicable' separation. He was believed to have made a bid for the company during his time as managing director. Hill denied speculation of an imminent change in ownership, saying: 'There is nothing on the horizon, although any company is saleable at the right price.'
