RENAULT has opened the first in what is expected to become a national network of up to 40 dealer-based fast-fit centres. Called Renault Minute, the centres - the first two have opened at Dixon Motors' Renault showrooms in Barnsley and Huddersfield - provide on-the-spot servicing and fast-fit repairs for Renault cars. In the future, other makes of car will also be eligible.

Renault aims to have a network of 17 open by the end of next year with an upper limit of 40 planned alongside existing Renault franchises.

Renault Minute is aimed at winning back business from fast-fit companies but will also cater for jobs which can be completed in under two hours such as minor servicing. Renault Minute already operates in 14 countries and at around 700 Renault dealerships around Europe.

Renault Minute promises include a free 25-point before and after vehicle safety check, free estimates for all work, explanation of pricing menu and clear billing, the use of genuine Renault parts, specially trained staff and late opening.
