Mazda recalls 626 models

MAZDA UK is recalling 5,431 petrol-engined 626 models produced between May and November 1997 to inspect the timing belt tensioner.

It has been found that the tensioner spring can break, causing the timing belt to slip and the engine to stop. Repairs will be carried out free of charge.
