VAUXHALL has launched a new cut-price, highly specified trim level for the Vectra estate.

The new Vauxhall Vectra Estate 1.8 16v Tourer costs £12,495 on-the-road - £2,700 less than the £15,195 Vauxhall Vectra Estate 1.8i 16v LS, but with the same equipment including ABS, air conditioning, remote control central locking, four airbags, CD player, electric front windows and electric/heated door mirrors. The Tourer also gains a rear spoiler from the SRi model and 16-inch alloy wheels from the CDX.

The next-generation Vectra is expected to come off production lines at Ellesmere Port in less than six months' time. But it is likely to be next summer before examples hit the showrooms.
