AUTOGLASS has won a major contract to supply leasing and fleet management giant LeasePlan.

The deal will see Autoglass service LeasePlan's 132,000-vehicle UK fleet, which includes vehicles run by Dial, Automotive Leasing and Network.

LeasePlan put its glass repair and replacement contract out to tender after acquiring Dial, leaving Autoglass, who already supplied LeasePlan, to compete with Dial's supplier, RAC Auto Windscreens.

Tim Rankin, head of service products for LeasePlan, said a review of service suppliers was part of the group's strategy to reduce customer costs while boosting efficiency.
