DAIMLERCHRYSLER UK has consolidated the corporate sales back offices of its four brands, Chrysler, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz and Smart to create a new corporate sales department.

Each brand will keep dedicated corporate sales contacts but back office administrative functions will be shared.

The head of the new department, Nick Ratcliffe, formerly general manager corporate sales for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars said: 'Many of our customers already buy more than one of our brands so it is a natural progression to pool our back office resources. Customers in the contract hire, rental and leasing industries will be dealt with on a multi-brand basis, which means we can approach them once as opposed to four times.'

Each brand will be headed by a corporate sales manager. Pat Cambage is now responsible for Mercedes Benz and Smart, while Mike Arthur is in charge of Chrysler and Jeep. Brian Luff is now manager of leasing and rental.
