Speed cameras turn yellow

SPEED cameras will be painted bright yellow to make them more visible to drivers under new Government guidelines - but only 15 out of 50 police forces will be taking action.

The new Government guidelines will also aim to stop police forces putting up fake warning signs and avoid cameras being 'hidden' behind road signs, trees and bushes.

Transport Minister John Spellar said the new rules would make it clear that cameras were aimed at saving lives not raising money.
