VAUXHALL has made the final changes to its fleet operations following a restructuring programme which began in March 2000. Linda Unsworth has become fleet marketing manager and effectively replaces Keith Michaels, who has been promoted to sales operations manager.

It follows strategic changes which led to the formation of a new department called sales, marketing and customer care. And in December, Vauxhall pulled together all its sales operations for retail, fleet, Network Q, Masterfit and parts into a single division led by sales director Bill Parfitt. One of Unsworth's first tasks will be to bring the fleet section of the Vauxhall website up to date.

She said: 'We will be completely refreshing the fleet part of our internet site, to give our corporate customers a more informative site. We want to make life easier for fleet customers and provide them with accurate information on time.' Unsworth, who has been at Vauxhall for 14 years and in fleet for 13 years, leads a new team which includes four regional fleet managers - Grahame Clarke, Darren Payne, Andrew Shillam and John Chamberlain - who in turn look after a total of 28 fleet sales managers. There are also eight members in Vauxhall's corporate group who look after the company's major blue-chip customers and new business.
