CHANCELLOR Gordon Brown eased the tax burden on fleets slightly, with a largely neutral budget from the company car perspective.

Brown confirmed reductions in duty on low sulphur fuels and announced further cuts in duty on alternative fuels. The price cuts also had a beneficial knock-on effect for company car drivers receiving free fuel.
