MG has launched a turbocharged version of the ZT and ZT-T to replace the low output V6 model which had been available since the car was launched.

The new ZT 160 uses a 158bhp 1.8-litre turbo engine in place of the 158bhp 2.5 V6, and offers reduced fuel consumption and lower carbon dioxide emissions. The new engine shaves 0.3 seconds off the car's 0-60mph time, covering the benchmark in 8.5 seconds, and offers improved in-gear acceleration.
