New VW models go down a storm

THE premier of the new VW Polo and Passat W8 on the auction market saw all the vehicles on offer sold during a sale at Manheim Auctions Bristol.

More than 200 vehicles were offered, including 51-registered examples of the two new models, with the Polo achieving 85% of list price, while the W8 saloon fetched 75% and the estate 78%.

Peter Webb, used car sales manager of Volkswagen UK said: 'I am delighted with the response from buyers and this demonstrates our strength of product in the marketplace.'

To help used car buyers fund their purchases, Manheim has also launched a credit card-based finance scheme allowing customers with retail sales premises to purchase vehicles using the card.

It has currently been launched in Bristol, Colchester and Leeds, with plans to roll out across the UK by the end of the year.
