STREET lighting maintenance company David Webster has introduced a user-chooser element to its van fleet by adding the Vauxhall Combo and Vivaro to its choice list as an alternative to Ford vans.

The company runs more than 400 vehicles, including 330 light and heavy vans, and has ordered 14 Combo and three Vivaro diesel vans. The Vauxhall vans are purchased outright and will be run on a four-year/120,000-mile replacement cycle. Fleet general manager Steve Farr said: 'The drivers like the way the Vivaro handles and can now choose between that and the Ford Transit. The Combos are very practical with the side loading door option, and are proving a handy addition to the fleet.'
