WARREN Christie has been appointed sales executive with Lex Commercials, the LDV dealership at Derby. His responsibilities cover all of Derbyshire and he reports to general manager, Sukhdev Singh.

IAN Smith takes on the role of motorcycle divisional manager with used vehicle finance specialist Singer & Friedlander. He spent four years as motorcycle sales manager with Close Consumer Finance and 10 years with RIGP (now Black Horse Motor Cycles).

KEITH Johnson has left ABS to pursue other business interests. He joined the network's services company in 1999 as commercial director and became managing director 12 months later.

HERTZ has appointed Chris Moysen as van director for the UK. His responsibilities include implementing a five-year growth plan for the company's van rental business. He operates from Feltham and reports to general manager, Neil Cunningham.

AUDATEX has appointed two new regional training consultants. Chris Clifton and Dave Punter have joined the supplier of computerised estimating systems and bring with them years of experience in the repair industry. Clifton worked for Sytner in Sheffield as assistant bodyshop manager and, before that, was estimating and workshop controller. Punter was previously with Howard Basford Accident Repair Network as group estimating manager. Their remit includes introducing new courses to reflect changing technology and industry needs.

STEVE Vare has been appointed national account manager for Fleet Accident Repair Group (FARG). He has more than seven years' experience in the fleet industry. Previously he was area sales manager for Lex Vehicle Leasing and RAC Business Solutions.

TWINS Chris and Gary Croucher have completed a combined 50 years spent helping broken down motorists. The photograph shows the 51-year olds receiving gold watches presented by the RAC at the company's offices in Walsall.

VOLKSWAGEN has appointed three new regional fleet managers. Bruce Bello joins from SkodaAuto where he was business sales manager. Kerry Clark and Karen Johnson join Bello following promotion from their posts of contract hire and leasing manager and area fleet manager respectively. The whole team reports direct to national fleet sales manager Andy Waite.

SAAB has appointed Joseph 'Joe' G Peter as vice- president and chief financial officer. He will be based in Michigan, USA and report to Peter Augustsson, GM Europe vice president and Saab chairman and chief executive officer. Peter succeeds Werner Jung who is named controller at Adam Opel AG and returns to Germany.

RUSSELL Moseley and Sean Bowditch have been appointed development executives by 1link. Their responsibilities are for northern and midland regions respectively.
