Countdown starts for Fleet News Awards 2003

THE Search has started to find the European Fleet Manager of the Year.

It is one of the categories in the annual industry Oscars, the Fleet News Awards 2003.

These awards will recognise individual achievement, while also giving companies the chance to have their fleet department recognised as the best.

Award winners will be announced on March 19, 2003, at Le Meridien Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Last year's winner of the Fleet News Europe Fleet Manager of the Year was Gareth Wilsher of global communications giant AT&T. At the time of winning, a delighted Wilsher said: 'Pan-European fleet is a difficult and diverse market and you have to balance so many things. Having strong business partnerships is the key to success, as is having a great team.'

To stand a chance of winning, entrants must 'explain how they have led an international approach to their fleet policy to optimise fleet efficiency on a pan-European basis'.
