INCOME protection provider UnumProvident has chosen ALD Automotive as its new supplier for its 127-strong user chooser fleet.

The company, which offers critical illness and life insurance products and is based in Bristol and Dorking, said the move allowed it to improve the efficiency of its fleet.

UnumProvident facilities manager Deborah Brown said: 'We were looking to improve the efficiency of our car fleet service by introducing new technologies to the process of specification and ordering. We appointed ALD Automotive based on its ability to fulfil our criteria of service excellence, technological innovation and competitive pricing.'

She said that ALD's internet-based QuDOS system allowed the company's drivers to view online vehicle specifications and receive instant quotes, which reduced unnecessary paperwork and administration time.

'Also, our fleet controller will be able to obtain live reports which include detailed driver information, audit trail, order status, delivery times and maintenance tracking,' Brown added.
