The van is a joint venture between IBC's parent company GM and Renault, whose model is called the Trafic. Plant director Peter Thom said: 'Today marks a real achievement in the development of the Vivaro and with numerous awards already behind it, including the prestigious international van of the year, Vivaro is our most successful product.'
Scottish Power's fleet business manager Sandy Duckett received the keys to the van as part of the deal for 10,000 vehicles it signed earlier this year.
The company chose Vauxhall after an online reverse auction.
Duckett said: 'It has been great to see the 100,000th van coming off the line in Scottish Power livery. The wholelife cost of the Vivaro was very attractive, particularly the fuel economy given that we are an environmentally-conscious company.'
