A NEW vehicle sales and service business is on course to sell 35,000 cars within the next 12 months – with its customer base including fleet drivers who have opted out of the traditional company car scheme.

Motor Solutions, formed by former DC Cook dealership chairman Derek Cook, will offer partner companies the chance to offer staff private cars at fleet prices.

It has already signed up cash and carry giant, Makro, which has so far sold 8,000 cars through its stores. Financial services group Alliance and Leicester has also signed up. The company expects to be popular among former company car drivers who have opted out of the traditional company car scheme, but are used to 'with-maintenance' contracts.

Cook has 36 years' experience in the motor industry and launched Motor Solutions two years ago. To date, the company has 11 partnerships, including Leeds United Football Club.
