Audi sales record

AUDI expects to celebrate its sixth record year in 2001. Speaking at the Tokyo motor show, chairman Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen said the German manufacturer expected worldwide sales to exceed 700,000 vehicles this year. He added: 'It is difficult to predict how the global market will be next year, but we have a well-positioned product range.' (November 2001)
