WORKING on the theory it is always best to practice what you preach, East Hampshire District Council's environmental health service has cut its emissions with the introduction of Vauxhall Dual-fuel vehicles on to its fleet.

The council has taken three 1.6-litre 8V Astravans, one estate and a hatchback, all of which run on LPG.

Dave Gorvin, the council's private sector housing manager said: 'We have a strict environmental policy, and Vauxhall's green credentials were clear from the outset.'
