SCAFFOLDING firm Deborah Services has awarded a £1 million vehicle supply contract to JCT 600 Contracts.

Leeds-based JCT 600 Contracts is the sole supplier in the deal, which will provide Fords and Renaults.

As part of the package, the firm has secured an agreement to allow servicing through the AA/Halford's network.

The move follows a management buyout at Deborah Services in September 2000, which prompted a thorough review of the firm's fleet.

Transport manager Stephen Haigh said: 'All the suppliers worked really hard to provide cost-effective answers to our fleet issues.

'With about 50 cars due for immediate replacement out of our fleet of 400 vehicles we needed people we could trust to work quickly and efficiently. We look forward to building on this solid foundation.'
