New Midlands auction site set to open

A NEW contender in the auction market will launch with an inaugural sale later this month.

The Fleet Auction Group will be based in a 12-acre site near Coalville, Leicestershire, with three auction halls and an auction programme beginning with a truck sale on April 23 and a car sale on April 25.

More than 3,000 vehicles can be stored at the site, with services including on-site refurbishment and valeting.

A total of £5.5 million has been spent establishing the firm.

Chief executive officer Andrew Walker expects to sell more than £100 million worth of vehicles in the first year.
