Lowdown on the law

TACHOGRAPGH and driver hours offences are rife in England, mainly due to lack of knowledge by those concerned. Some 6,650 convictions were made in 1999/2000.

In a bid to combat the problem, a new book has been published called 'The pocket guide to drivers' hours and tachograph law' giving advice on rules, exemptions, keeping records and minimum wages.
The book costs £12.99 and is available from bookshops or from Kogan Page Publishers, 120 Pentonville Road, London N1 9JN, tel: 0207 278 0433
