MG Rover in Polish talks

MG Rover could take over Daewoo's Polish car plant as a new site for building its own models and engines for Eastern Europe.

The company is in talks with the Polish Government over the future of the Daewoo-FSO plant and distribution operations.

MG Rover would like existing production at the Zeran plant in Warsaw to continue as well as using it as a 'local' plant for its own cars.
