STAFFORD-based driver training firm Pro-Drive has launched a self-defence class for drivers to show them how to cope if they are involved in a car-jacking.

The course is aimed at drivers who carry high value goods or drive a high-value car.

Pro-Drive managing director Graham Hurdle said: 'Following recent reports about carjacking, we have looked at the broader issue of driver safety and as we already work with MoD personnel as part of a major Government contract, we could see that many training techniques skills were easily transferable to company car drivers.'
