BCA and Vauxhall celebrate the World Cup

BCA and Vauxhall teamed up for a World Cup campaign running over nine sales between April and June at BCA's Peterborough, Measham, Nottingham Belle Vue (Manchester) and Birmingham centres.

The programme culminated in the top 50 buyers invited to join Vauxhall for a pre-match event on June 11, with former England captain Emelyn Hughes as a guest speaker.

The following morning the dealers watched the England vs Nigeria game over breakfast, before moving on to BCA Peterborough for a special closed sale.

However, for buyers the highlight of the programme was the June 7 sale at Birmingham which began at 10am and was followed by the England vs Argentina match on a giant screen in the auction hall. Vauxhall's Mike Brown said: 'This special promotion was a way of thanking our approved buyer network, adding an important dimension to our auction programme and giving us the opportunity to reward our dealers who regularly support our sales.'
