VAUXHALL is to restructure its business-to-business operation to focus more on commercial vehicles and leasing operations.

The change will bring its own-brand leasing division, Vauxhall MasterHire closer to the manufacturer with a new team of staff.

Vauxhall set up its B2B operations last September, targeting the sub-25 vehicle small business user fleet market with an eight-strong, regional, field-based sales team, working closely with its retail network.

Under the restructuring, the emphasis of the team will change and it will be more focused on the commercial vehicle market, working with Vauxhall's 111 heavy van retailers and a further 100 light van retailers.

The new team will have eight van B2B development managers and will work with the eight-strong Vauxhall business development manager team, along with the firm's national van sales manager Ian Hucker. Hucker said: 'This move reinforces Vauxhall's commitment to growing its commercial vehicle business.' A new team of eight MasterHire B2B development managers has also been established to target the small business user market through the retailer network with product, including contract hire.

They will also work with the retailer network for cars in the small business user sector and help support the national fleet sales force.
