VW aids fleets with new pricing lists

VOLKSWAGEN Fleet Services has introduced a P11D price list to simplify benefit-in- kind (BIK) tax calculations for employers and drivers.

The new list also details the individual carbon dioxide emissions of Volkswagen's car range, along with a taxation chart to make tax calculations as straightforward as possible.

Most manufacturer brochures feature 'list prices' or 'on-the-road' prices, but benefit-in-kind tax liability is based on a car's P11D price.

The P11D price includes the published list price of the car, VAT, delivery charges, number plates, and the price of any optional extras and extra-cost accessories fitted before registration. But Vehicle Excise Duty and the £25 new car registration fee are not included in the P11D price.
