ADT Fire and Security has agreed one of the fleet industry's biggest vehicle supply deals with a three-year solus contract with Vauxhall worth a potential £50 million at showroom prices.

The launch of the new Vectra was a key reason for ADT signing the contract, which sees Vauxhall supply all the 4,000-vehicle fleet's cars and vans until the end of 2005.

ADT's fleet is operated under a finance lease arrangement and the bulk of the vehicles, some 1,700 cars and 400 vans, are Astra 1.7 DTis. The Vectra accounts for the remainder of the fleet, driven by sales consultants, field managers and administration staff.

Kevin Reynolds, ADT's fleet manager, said: 'We like the people, the support and the product. With the new Vectra, we are supremely confident we have the right vehicle for our fleet.'
